Hill Robinson sponsors team for Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024

Taking place 1 to 6 July, the event aims to shape the future of yachting by incentivising the development of sustainable marine innovations.

Hill Robinson is proud to be sponsoring the Riviera Racing team for the highly anticipated Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024, hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco. The week-long event aims to advance sustainability in yachting by providing a platform for participants to showcase pioneering concepts powered by alternative energy sources. The zero-emission innovations will be trialled through a series of challenges in front of key industry figures.

Hailing from the University of Cambridge, the Riviera Racing team have spent the past year crafting a ground-breaking hydrogen-fuelled boat. Drawing inspiration from aerofoils, the team’s catamaran aspires to elevate itself above the water’s surface, featuring integrated solar panels and a custom electric pod co-designed with Pulling-e.

For Hill Robinson Founding Partner Nick Hill, who was educated at the University of Cambridge, the sponsorship opportunity feels like coming full circle. “There are many reasons why supporting this project is a good fit,” he explains. “The Hill Robinson team enjoys championing young people as they start in the sector, but we are also heavily involved in yacht build and refit projects and keen to support projects that are good for the environment and the yachting industry as a whole.”
